T3 Featherweight 2 Review
I've been on the search for a good blow dryer for awhile now and when I say awhile I mean like a few years.....lol I purchased my last high end blow dryer back in 2014 or so. It was a Paul Mitchell Express Ion. I've always loved Paul Mitchell products, because of my thick course frizzy hair and I still love my Express Ion Smooth straightener and curling iron. It's the only straightener that works on my hair without frying it! I've had it for about 5 years and going strong! And - before that also had a another PM straightener that lasted like 6 years. So, needless to say the PM blow dryer was a let down. I only had it about a year when it decided not to work again. It just wouldn't turn on. I contacted PM and they wouldn't replace it, because I had just barely went over the year mark for the manufacture warranty. I was pretty frustrated, because as you see I've always purchased PM products. Anyways - I decided to just purchase a cheap conair blow dryer from Wal-mart to tide me over. It has worked for me since. However, I knew I needed to upgrade. I'm not saying conair is a bad company to purchase your tools from, but when you buy a $15.00 hair dryer you will only get a $15.00 result. And I'm aware that's not all situations, I know there are exceptions - but for the most part you get what you pay for. When you purchase a more expensive blow dryer there is usually more technology, testing, and etc put into manufacturing it. Therefore, you get a better result.
So - my hunt was on and was pretty extensive, because I didn't want to spend the money on another high end blow dryer unless it actually worked and was reliable. I looked into Dyson, DryBar, Babybliss, Solano, and etc. Until I stumbled across the T3. I absolutely fell in love with the design and technology behind it! It is an ion blow dryer that allows the hair to dry a lot quicker than most without damaging your hair. It also seals the cuticle to lock in moisture, which helps with frizz control and when I say it helps I mean it leaves your hair with not an ounce of frizz! I know that may seem minor to some people, but to girls that have thick frizzy hair. In addition to it helping with frizz. I also wanted a blow dryer that helped cut down the blow dry time. I contemplated on the Dyson since it's known for it's blow dry time, but I also saw a lot of bad reviews on how it drys out your hair. So, when I got my T3 I put it to the test on drying time. It usually takes me about 30 mins or so with my conair dryer. Sometimes, it takes less if I let my hair air dry for a few. It only took me about 8 mins total to blow dry my hair from soaking wet. I was so amazed and so happy that I chose the T3! It's def worth the hype! It has won numerous awards, which helped me in my decision making. I don't usually worry too much on the size of blow dryers or how heavy they are. I know that's a factor for some, but that wasn't a priority when choosing. However, I don't find that the T3 is heavy or any heavier than any other blow dryer. I may not be a good judge on that though. I was way more concerned and ecstatic about the blow dry and no frizz part! I could prob hold a brick if it worked the way the the T3 does!
It also comes with a 2 year warranty with the option to repair if broken.
T3 is running special right now $149.00. It originally is $200.00.
I think they also have a 10% off if you sign up for emails. I don't know if you can use it on sale products, but it's worth a try! I also know Ulta sells the T3 and they usually have coupons!
I've also decided to list a few of my favorite hair products that help to manage my frizzy unruly hair! Hopefully you find these products helpful too!
1. Kenra Blow Dry Spray - I have been using this blow dry spray for a long time. It's my ride or die when it comes to go to hair products. It helps protect my hair from heat as well as helps with blow dry time. I use it before I blow dry and before I use my hot tools.
2. Kevin Murphy Smooth Again - I love all Kevin Murphy products, but this is my favorite! This helps my hair stay smooth and soft without any frizz. You do have to be careful with this product if you have more oily hair. I would only use it on the ends if you scalp tends to get oily. Which is my case. My ends are dry, but my scalp tends to produce a lot of oils.
3. Moroccanoil Blow Dry Concentrate - I've used this product for awhile now. I use this product every time I blow dry. This is a blow dry concentrate, but also helps smooth my hair with the argan oil. I also only put this on my ends.
4. Matrix Oil Wonders - I've used this product for years now, especially when I was growing my hair long. It helped keep my hair stay healthy and strong.
6. Moroccanoil Hair Spray - This is my favorite hair spray! I love the way it smells and it's not too heavy and doesn't weigh your hair down, but still keeps a good hold of your fly aways.
7. Redken All Soft Shampoo & Conditioner - I just started using redken products, but so far I'm in love! This has helped my hair stay so nourished and healthy through the winter and all of my coloring. I also love the Redken All Soft heavy cream, which was featured on my winter favorites! Find it here!
