November Sephora Haul
Oh my goodness it’s been so busy in my house lately! Between the football games, piano practices and preparing for the holidays its been crazy. How can it possibly be November already? Can you believe Christmas is only 50 days away. Hopefully you’ve already done some shopping and you can treat yourself for good behavior right? Ha ha….that’s how I justify my purchases anyways. All of my November favorites are the perfect" “self love” treats for being so awesome! And even if you haven’t started Christmas shopping you get a TREAT because you’re going to get it all done in less time than those overachievers! Maybe you just need a boost and some inspo? I got you girl!
1. Kat Von D Creme Lipstick - I just recently tried the Kat Von D lipstick in search for a MAC dupe and I love the texture and pigments. They are the perfect consistency of creme and matte. You will love it! I’ve been loving the color “Greige”. I’ve used several of her other products and she never disappoints. She’s a makeup god!
2. Estee Lauder Advanced Eye Cream- I’ve been issuing this eye cream for about 3 years now and seriously Estee Lauder’s Advanced skin line is one if the best. You can’t go wrong with any of it! It’s pricier, but worth it and lasts awhile. You can usually get a really good price for the whole set around Christmas time.
3. Slip Silk Pillowcase- I haven’t tried these pillowcases yet, but I just ordered some and can’t wait to review them. I’ve heard such good things about them. They are supposed to be amazing for your hair and skin. I’ve read a ton of reviews that claim they keep your skin hydrated and clean, and help hair breakage in result of your tossing and turning at night.
4. Herbivore Jade Roller- I love this jade roller! I got it one day at Sephora while checking out. I swear the mini/travel section always gets me! I do love it though, I know it makes more sense to buy a full size product but I like having the opportunity to try it out first without paying full price. I use this jade roller cold when applying my night cream and serums. When used cold it allows your skin to soak up and lock in the product into your pores, because your pores shrink and close when exposed to cold temperature. They have a ton of other benefits. It helps stimulate your facial blood flow, de-stressing and also supports the drainage of your lymphatic system.
5. Estee Lauder Advanced Night Serum - This serum is perfection. I first learned about it when I was working as a Makeup Artist for MAC. One of my friends worked for Estee Lauder and she gave me a sample. I was hooked! I use this prob once or twice a week and it helps keep my face hydrated, bright and refreshed. It’s non-acnegenic so it won’t cause any breakouts. It also helps with signs of aging and y’all know I ain’t trying to get old anytime soon.
6. Moroccan Oil Dry Scalp Treatment- I’ve been using this dry scalp oil on myself and Lily for awhile now and we love it so much! It lasts forever because you only need a little bit. In the winter time my scalp gets super dry and I’ve noticed my scalp has gotten itchier since my extensions. I put a few drops in my scalp for about 15 mins before I shower. I don’t like to keep it in too long because I’ve noticed if I keep it in too long it’s hard to get out and keeps my scalp greasy looking. I use this product once a month. You could use it more if needed.
7. Kevin Aucion Concealer - Okay so, my friend told me about this concealer. She absoloutly loves it! I’ve always been a die hard shape tape girl, but I figured I’d give it a try? When I first got it I wasn’t sure. I almost sent it back because I didn’t like how it looked under my eyes. I like more of a matte finish, which is why I like shape tape so much. This concealer is more creamier than I’m used to even with setting powder. I decided to give it another try and use it to conceal my acne blemishes and let me tell you it’s AMAZING! It has the texture to help cover up any cystic acne or bumps, as well as the coverage to cancel out any redness without using colored concealers. It’s now my all time favorite for concealing blemishes! I conceal with a beauty blender before I apply my foundation and it looks flawless. I use SX03 for color reference.
8. Nars Kabuki Ita Brush- This brush has been a favorite of mine for awhile. If you’ve been following me you know I love my contour. I use this brush to create that blunt contour line and then I used a powder brush to blend it out. It gives you that beautiful chiseled counter cheek bone. I recommend this to all of my makeup “starters”. You seriously cant go wrong with it.
9. Brazilian Bum Bum Cream- So…. I finally decided to try this because it’s so popular and let me tell you it smells sooooo good! I recently had a friend ask me what’s my favorite smell good lotion and I honestly didn’t have one because I’m so picky. When I started using this I immediately messaged her and was like I found one! I’m not even sure on the progress of my cellulite and honesty that’s not even why I buy it, it’s seriously for the smell only so if it helps with cellulite too it’s a win-win in my book!
10. Artist Couture Glow Powder - I’ve been a fan of Mac Daddy since like forever! I was so excited when he launched his own line. It started out small and now he’s in Sephora! So happy for him because this products are amazing! It’s my all time favorite highlighter. It lasts forever and it’s so versatile. You can add the powder to your foundation, lip gloss, use it as eye shadow and so much more! My two favorites colors are “YAS” and “Summer Haze”. YAS is perfect for that extra extra glow when you want to GLOW on that night out! Summer Haze is more of a bronzy summery highlight. I even use it on my collarbones.
11. Sunday Rileys UFO Ultra Clarifying Face Oil - This oil has literally been a game changer for my skin care routine. I’m on my second bottle. I use it every single day, twice a day. It seriously is so good at clearing up your face. You will notice a difference overnight. It has 1.5% salicylic acid, which if you have acne prone skin you’ve prob used salicylic acid or at least heard of it before. I’ve used it a ton in other products and it’s always so drying for my skin. Since this product is an oil it doesn’t make your face dry out. It also doesn’t leave your face super oily either because its a “drying” element in it.
12. Sunday Rileys A+ High Dose Retinol Serum - I’ve tried a ton of different retinol creams and serums and this by far is the best that I’ve come across! It’s a 6.5% retinol blend and you can tell for sure. You will notice a difference within a week - I promise! I only use about two mini pumps each night. If you’ve never used a retinol cream or serum, you will want to only use it like two nights a week to allow your skin time to adjust. It can make your face dry out. I tend to stick with serums because I find that they’re less drying. This product not only helps clear your face up, but it helps with fine line, wrinkles, dark spots and acne scaring. I have been able to tell a huge difference in my acne scaring.
